Artist of Beautiful Moments...
Food for thought...how far would you go if nothing was holding you back?
Born in a small town in Oklahoma Fawn remembers sitting with her dad at a very
young age and together they would draw. He wasn't an artist by trade; in fact, he
was a Roustabout on an oil well. Time with him was limited and very precious. She
liked to watch him draw and soon started drawing pictures of her own. By
drawing she could escape and lose all track of time and it made her feel good
when people liked her art.
Moving often after the age of 10 she became very outgoing and learned to make
friends fast. She learned not to take anything for granted. Therefore she
appreciated and found wonder and beauty where ever she lived.
While attending school her favorite classes were Art and Music. In High School she
attended classes in drawing, painting, and making jewelry. After graduating High
School she entered the work force and had very little time to dabble in the arts.
One of her first jobs was working in the mail-room for Buzza Cardoza Greeting
Cards (now Gibson Greeting Cards). Her favorite floor to deliver mail to was the
3rd floor where the artists created greeting cards. The artists and their work left a
lasting impression on her.
Several years later, after several jobs in the corporate world, she made her way
back to the arts. In 2002 she took a watercolor class at a local community center
and has been painting ever since.
Her long term goal is to create greeting cards for terminally ill people and their
families that offer words of encouragement and comfort as they face a very
difficult time in their lives. She is a strong supporter of Hospice organizations and
is very grateful they exist.
She is dedicated to living her life aligned with her core values of creativity,
spirituality, inner harmony, integrity and freedom. She is grateful to God for the
many blessings she has received, including her husband of 22 years, two sons,
cat, dog, and her family and friends.
